Times have changed, and so have payroll managers: their role no longer focusses on technical tasks alone, but also strategic ones. So, Reward Strategy has created its 2019 Payroll Autumn Update with that in mind.
A preview of the conference’s agenda, which is taking place on December 5th at the Hilton London Bankside, has been revealed.
2019 marks the 15th anniversary of the conference and in that time we have watched the scope of payroll widen and the role of reward enter the landscape. Therefore, we have structured the conference to have three streams - each focussing on content that relates to technical, strategic and applied tasks. However, the CPD-accredited conference will begin and end with plenary sessions hosted by Reward Strategy’s editor, Amber-Ainsley Pritchard.
Bringing together the entire spectrum of payroll and reward, including those in HR, pensions, employee benefits and employment law, the conference will this year feature two new elements - a dedicated session hosting mini roundtables and a special focus on global payroll. Further information on these sessions will be revealed in the next conference update - due to be published in August.
The conference, sponsored by Cintra HR & Payroll Services, will include the staple sessions on payroll and pensions, to ensure professionals are up-to-date on the latest legislative and regulatory items. There will also be sessions that look to cover the strategic elements payrollers and reward managers now face: pay gaps, reward strategies for a multigenerational workforce, utilising artificial intelligence, providing employees with financial support, and much more.
As well as all of the above, the agenda will cover the latest hot topics in employment law, including case studies on maternity and paternity leave, a closer look at IR35 and further updates on NMW and NLW.

The Rewards, sponsored by Cintra HR & Payroll Services, take place the evening of the Payroll Autumn Update; the ceremony is the most distinguished event on the payroll and reward industry’s calendar. Categories for the awards have been launched today.
