Shard Financial Media has appointed Amber-Ainsley Pritchard as Acting Editor of Reward Strategy, succeeding Jerome Smail who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Pritchard was previously senior content writer at Credit Strategy, between August 2016 and February 2018, where she was responsible for producing in-depth features and analytical articles, as well as conducting industry interviews and commissioning content.
She will continue to contribute to Credit Strategy, but focus her energies on all print and online content for the Reward Strategy brand.
Pritchard has notably interviewed the chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority, Andrew Bailey, Caroline Wayman the Financial Ombudsman, founder and chief executive of Starling Bank, Anne Boden, and chief executive of super trade body UK Finance, Stephen Jones. She has also worked with political parties to secure magazine articles from Conservative, Liberal Dem and Labour MPs.
Before joining Shard Financial Media, she worked as a freelance journalist with HFMWeek, a global hedge fund magazine, and The O’Neill Film and Theatrical Foundation, in both New York and London.
Commenting on the appointment, Pritchard said: “I’m delighted to be taking on the role of Acting Editor at Reward Strategy and have the chance to tackle some extremely interesting and topical issues which are not only sector-wide but worldwide.
“I look forward to leading content creation and exploring how the Reward brand can be pushed further to better educate our readers.”
Luke Broadhurst, Managing Director of Shard Financial Media, said: "Reward Strategy is in the safest hands with Amber-Ainsley, one of Shard Media Group’s brightest stars. Displaying a maturity and instinct beyond her tender years we are fully confident that this brand will flourish under her stewardship."
