The Reward 300 is an index of the industry leaders within pay, reward and the associated sectors.
The Reward 300, sponsored by Cintra HR & Payroll and Their Perfect Gift, is the index of the industry’s most important influencers and decision-makers that has been running for 12 years in 2021.
The Reward 300 is made up of seven different sections:
• Payroll Leaders, including Global Specialists
• Reward Leaders
• Knowledge & Professional Services Leaders
• Pension Leaders
• HR Leaders
• Employee Benefit Leaders
• Employment Law Leaders
The process
The Reward 300 is based on nominations from readers who provide a 300-word entry explaining why their chosen individual deserves to be in the index. Individuals are also welcome to nominate themselves.
Entries must show the individual has met at least one of the following criteria:
• Shown a level of influence in their organisation or profession;
• Demonstrated best practice;
• Been recognised for their work (through award programmes, not necessarily Reward Strategy’s);
• Helped to educate their peers, whether that be through content contributions, speaking at conferences or webinars, and so on;
• Advocated the promotion of their profession.
Throughout the nomination process the editorial team also ask for submissions from notable individuals it has kept track of, as well as recommendations from the industry.
Following strategic consultation, nominations are finalised by the editorial team in conjunction with a board of trusted advisors.

The Reward 300 Awards
These individual awards are for those who have gone above and beyond to help their peers, employees or employers, and have also advocated for the promotion of their profession in a way which educates and urges action to recognise the importance of their role.
Once nominations for The Reward 300 close, the editorial team, in conjunction with a board of trusted advisors, carry out a consultation process and finalise the index.
Individuals who have successfully been included will be notified under embargo in April. In this email they will be asked if they would like to put themselves forward for the individual award relating to their profession. If so, they will be asked to write a nomination including three reasons as to why they are deserving.
We ask for self-nominations because we believe the pay and reward profession doesn’t shout out enough about the good work they do. This process aims to help individuals feel more comfortable about promoting their work.
A shortlist of nominations will then be collated and judged by the editorial team and board of trusted advisors.
The Reward 300 Reveal & Awards 2021 have been publicly revealed during a live broadcast on June 23. Find the winners here.
