Reward StrategyNew integration will enable instant, secure employment verification and reduce administrative burden for HR teams

Experian UK&I has partnered with Nottingham-based software provider MHR, transforming how millions of UK workers verify their income and employment status when accessing financial services.
The collaboration will see MHR integrate Experian’s Work Report platform into its existing HR, payroll, and finance software systems. This integration will benefit more than three million UK employees who will now be able to instantly and securely verify their employment information.
The partnership promises substantial operational benefits for businesses using MHR’s platform. Companies can expect to reduce paperwork, minimise the risk of administrative errors, and potentially save hundreds of hours each month that would otherwise be spent on manual verification processes. This efficiency gain will allow HR teams to redirect their focus toward higher-value strategic activities.
MHR, recognised as a leading provider of HR, payroll, and finance software solutions, serves a significant portion of the UK employment market through its comprehensive platform offerings.
David Bates, Managing Director of Credit and Verification Services at Experian UK&I, emphasised the customer-focused approach driving the partnership. "At Experian, our focus is on driving value for our customers through data and technology," he said.
"Income verification is a key point of friction in many financial journeys, something which Work Report reduces enormously. Employees can share their employment and income data confidently and securely, while their employers can enjoy a more efficient, accurate process."
Ian Stewart, Chief Marketing Officer at MHR, highlighted the broader impact on financial inclusion. "By integrating Work Report into our platforms, we are working with our customers to empower their employees to securely share their income and employment data in real time, facilitating quicker access to essential services and supporting financial inclusion, and helping ease the stress of the whole process."
The partnership reflects the ongoing digital transformation within the HR and financial services sectors, where manual processes are increasingly being replaced by automated, secure solutions. The integration addresses a common pain point for both employees seeking financial services and employers managing verification requests.
The Work Report integration is expected to be particularly valuable for employees applying for mortgages, loans, or other financial products that require employment verification, traditionally a time-consuming process involving multiple document exchanges and manual verification steps.
