Payroll announces first Chartered members

The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) has welcomed its first Chartered members to the payroll profession.

Chartered membership will inspire confidence with employers and clients and reduce risk for organisations due to the knowledge, support and education of their payroll professionals.

 

Chartered membership is an accreditation bestowed upon individuals who meet the standards outlined by the professional body and government through the Privy Council. The first recipients of this prestigious accolade are:

 

  • Michelle Crook MSc ChFCIPPdip, payroll director, ESOS (deceased November 2016, Chartered membership received posthumously)
  • Christina Forsey ChMCIPPdip, First Group Plc, head of payroll
  • Elaine Gibson MSc ChFCIPPdip, MCMI, FHEA, education director, CIPP
  • Eira Hammond ChFCIPPdip, Eira Consulting Ltd, director
  • Daniel Hancock MSc ChFCIPPdip, DFDS Seaways, payroll manager
  • Helen Hargreaves MSc ChFCIPPdip, associate director of policy and membership, CIPP
  • John Stonestreet ChMCIPPdip, Essex Police Authority, head of payroll and pensions
  • Karen Thomson MSc ChFCIPPdip FHEA, Armstrong Watson LLP, director – group payroll services
  • Neil Tonks ChMCIPPdip, MHR, legislation manager
  • Ian Walters MSc ChFCIPP FHEA, SD Worx, learning and development director

 

Ken Pullar FCIPP, CEO of the CIPP said: Chartered membership for payroll professionals is an excellent achievement for the individuals, the profession and the CIPP, and I congratulate those who have received the first accreditations.
