Sherene Glynn, Payroll Specialist & Tutor at The Payroll Centre, is joining us for tomorrow’s Reward & Payroll Summit. See her insights before the event.

Keeping abreast of the constant changes in payroll as well as doing their day-to-day role. Payroll is much bigger than just paying people, payroll professionals now need to know a lot more.
This is my first summit so I am looking forward to networking and meeting industry professionals and expanding my network.
I am looking forward to the future of pay and reward, working as a tutor and no longer processing payroll, I often miss out on some of the day to day changes that occur in payroll as my role now is more around legislation
I would advise all companies to invest in their payroll teams, and allow them the time to attend update courses whether online or in person. This will help payroll teams to feel valued and also feel confident in their knowledge while processing pay. Payroll is a very important component in a business and networking playsa very important role.
AI can take away some of the mundane and repetitive tasks that payroll get involved in, by utilising technology more, it can speed up certain processes, allowing payroll professionals to engage more in detailed work.
Like a lot of people I have met, I didn’t choose payroll, payroll chose me, I have been in the industry for nearly 25 years and what keeps me passionate is the way that payroll has evolved over the years and the different types of roles that are available in the industry
I hope that attendees will go away feeling more confident about their role and the upcoming changes.
