During the summer of 2001, Payroll World was created to cater for the professionals we always thought of as key workers, payrollers, who ensure the nation is paid on time and efficiently.
Two decades later and the profession has changed dramatically. The remit of payroll has widened considerably to a point where the function no longer focusses on technical tasks alone, but also strategic ones. This wider space is known to be reward - the reason why Payroll World was rebranded to Reward Strategy in 2017.
Now catering for all elements of pay and reward, from HR to employee benefits, workplace pensions and employment law, the publication serves a profession that works tirelessly to keep the nation fed and rewarded.
To mark our 20th birthday, you will see a new logo on all our publications, in print and online, as well as at all events.
Our celebrations will not just be for a day, week or month, we will honour this milestone for a year. In this time, we plan to publish a special edition of the magazine, for our community, reflecting on the last 20 years of wellbeing and how this has progressed in the workplace. This theme will also be weaved into the Reward & Payroll Summit and The Rewards later this year.
