With a career spanning military service, HR, and payroll leadership across multiple high-growth businesses, Mirko brings a unique and strategic perspective to global payroll operations.
His professional journey began in the Italian Army, with deployments to Kosovo, Lebanon, and Afghanistan — experiences that deeply shaped his approach to leadership, resilience, and stakeholder management. His ability to navigate complexity and remain calm under pressure has been a defining feature of his career ever since.
Following his military service and a memorable stint training the contestants of Big Brother Italy in 2011, Mirko transitioned into HR and then Payroll, quickly rising through the ranks. He has held senior payroll roles at Deliveroo and Revolut, and most recently served as Head of Global Payroll at Hopper, a leading travel tech company.
Now at Mews, Mirko is focused on building a scalable, compliant, and high-performing global payroll infrastructure that supports the company’s rapid international growth. His work is closely aligned with business transformation, SOX readiness, areas where his strategic and operational strengths truly shine.
